Takeuchi Named President of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America

Tohei Takeuchi has been appointed president and chief executive of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America Inc. in Cypress. He succeeds Kazue Naganuma, who returns to Mitsubishi Motors Corp. in Tokyo after six years. Before his appointment, Takeuchi was director of the board and corporate deputy general manager in Mitsubishi’s office of international business in Tokyo. He was also Mitsubishi Motor Sales’ first president and chief executive, appointed in 1983. Also, Takashi Sonobe has been appointed executive vice president of the corporate planning department. Sonobe most recently served as general manager of the North American department for Mitsubishi in Tokyo. From 1985 to 1989, he was senior vice president of corporate planning for the Cypress operation.
