Special Week:

Orange County’s minority business organizations will celebrate Minority Enterprise Development Week on Oct. 14 with a daylong conference at the Disneyland Hotel. This year’s conference will focus on helping businesses procure government contracts.

“We will have a panel featuring companies that have been successful in bidding on government work,” said Robert Villalobos, director of the Orange County Minority Business Development Center. “The audience can pick their brains about what they did that was effective--how they wrote their proposals and what marketing techniques they employed.”

To present the other side, representatives from government agencies will explain the bidding process and discuss the key elements they look for in proposals from the private sector.
