A Sicilian businessman under investigation in Italy’s huge corruption scandal has thrown himself to his death, the 11th suspect to take his own life during the 18-month inquiry, police said. They said 62-year-old Giuseppe Magro jumped from the seventh floor of his apartment in the Sicilian capital of Palermo, landing on the roof of a neighboring police building. Magro ran a building company owned by a local surveyor who has a conviction for Mafia association.
