Kidnaping Suspects Are Still at Large
Authorities say they have plenty of leads but no idea of the whereabouts of two men wanted in the June 26 kidnaping of Kevin Wynn, the daughter of casino magnate Steve Wynn.
“We simply don’t know where they are,” FBI spokesman Burk Smith said Friday. “We’re looking literally all over the country.”
Jacob Harold Sherwood, 21, and Anthony Paul Watkins, 20, both of Sacramento, have been charged with extortion and use of a weapon in the commission of a crime in the kidnaping. Wynn was abducted from her home in Las Vegas, then released unharmed at McCarran International Airport after her father paid a $1.45-million ransom.
An alleged accomplice, Ray Cuddy, 48, was arrested Aug. 1 in Newport Beach.
