Dropping of Program Makes Barely a Ripple

No wonder UCLA swimming coach Ron Ballatore was dumbfounded when he found out his team was being dropped from the school’s athletic program. Didn’t anyone inform him that you have to have a losing team, a coach with a six-figure income and a few players with a rap sheet in order to keep your program? What folly to think a 98% graduation rate would be a consideration.
