3D Systems Reports Loss Despite Revenue Increase
The Valencia maker of imaging systems used by manufacturers to produce products rapidly, 3D Systems Corp., reported a second-quarter loss of $495,562.
A year earlier, 3D lost $941,293. Its revenue rose 30%, to $7.23 million from $5.55 million.
In the six months ended June 30, 3D lost $1.19 million, in contrast with a loss of $733,083 in the same period in 1992. Its revenue increased 12%, to $14.4 million from $12.9 million.
The firm said its second-quarter 1993 results included a gain of $1.1 million from the settlement of litigation with an insurer, and a charge of $750,000 for corporate restructuring.
The restructuring included reincorporating in the United States as a Delaware corporation. It had previously been a Canadian company.
