Techmatics Division Moves to Oxnard Site
The fast-growing West Coast division of Techmatics Inc., an engineering services firm, has moved from Port Hueneme to larger quarters in Oxnard’s Channel Islands Business Center.
The Techmatics unit, which does most of its work for the Navy’s Nemesis weapons tracking program, has grown from a one-person operation to 39 employees since it was established in 1988, said Bob Stewart, director of operations.
Kevin Silk, of the Ventura office of TOLD Partners Inc., said Techmatics has leased 5,600 square feet in Pacific Corporate Plaza, a twin-building office complex on Pacific Avenue.
“We’re following the lead of our parent company and investigating commercial projects to augment our defense work,” Stewart said.
