Four men suspected of stealing at least 10 cars from throughout Orange County during July have been arrested and face 31 criminal counts each, authorities said Wednesday.

The arrests were the result of an investigation by the newly formed Orange County Auto Theft Task Force, which was launched last month to target organized car-theft rings and professional car thieves. The task force is made up of 16 officers and one full-time prosecutor.

The suspects, David Nguyen, 20, Phong Thanh Nguyen, 19, Duoc Van Nguyen, 26, and Dung Van Le, 21, were arrested Aug. 11 and are being held at Orange County Jail.

They have pleaded innocent to the felony charges and are due in Orange County Municipal Court in Fullerton for a pretrial hearing today, officials said.

Police said the four men, who are not related and are all residents of Anaheim, are suspected of stealing 1990 and 1991 Honda Accords and Preludes in Anaheim, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Mission Viejo, Seal Beach and Westminster.
