EIP Microwave Inc.: The Newport Beach manufacturer of high-frequency test and measurement instruments reported a net loss of $294,000, or 65 cents a share, for the third fiscal quarter. For the same period a year earlier, it incurred a net loss of $42,000, or 10 cents a share. Sales for the quarter ended June 30 were down 28% to $1.3 million from $1.8 million. A net loss of $476,000, or $1.05 a share, was recorded for the nine-month period, compared to a net loss of $40,000, or 9 cents a share, for the same period last year. Sales dropped 11% to $4.9 million from $5.5 million.
