The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between Aug. 16 and Aug. 22:
Glendale
East Broadway, 700 block--Thieves shattered a business’s glass door and stole cash and checks, valued together at $3,000, in a theft discovered Aug. 16.
Oak Valley Road, 2000 block--Entering through an unlocked rear door, thieves stole $1,300 from a residence between 4 and 6 p.m. Aug. 16.
Verdugo Road and Dixon Street--Thieves left their car, brandished their at a man on the corner and stole his sports bag and personal items, valued together at $104, at 10:50 p.m. Aug. 17.
South Boynton Avenue, 1100 block--Thieves removed a kitchen window screen to enter a residence and steal jewelry and stuffed animals, valued together at $1,685, on Aug. 18 or 19.
East Harvard Street, 300 block--Thieves threw a rock through a business’s window to enter and steal office equipment, valued at $4,250, on Aug. 20 or 21.
North Verdugo Road, 1000 block--Three thieves with guns entered an open door to a residence, handcuffed the occupants, then stole cash, jewelry, video and stereo equipment, valued together at $2,900, at 10:40 p.m. Aug. 21.
Atwater Village
Glenhurst Avenue, 3000 block--After smashing the glass of a rear bedroom window, thieves stole computer equipment and a radio, valued together at $5,690, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Aug. 20.
Madera Avenue, 3100 block--Thieves in a car chased a man on a moped, trying to run him off the road, then stole the moped at 11:40 a.m. Aug. 20.
Drew and Andrita streets--Thieves stopped a man on the sidewalk and forcibly took luggage and sporting goods, valued together at $620, between 8:30 and 9 p.m. Aug. 20.
Eagle Rock
Colorado Boulevard, 2600 block--Entering a locked business, thieves stole computer equipment and business machines, valued together at $1,980, in a theft discovered Aug. 16.
Lawndale Drive, 2900 block--Thieves broke a kitchen window to enter and steal jewelry, valued at $2,045, from the master bedroom between 8:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Aug. 16.
Oak Tree Drive, 1800 block--Entering through an unlocked door, thieves stole video equipment and silverware, valued together at $2,750, from a residence between 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Aug. 16.
Genevieve Avenue, 4900 block--Thieves entered a residence through an unlocked window and stole jewelry and telephone equipment, valued together at $9,195, between 7:40 and 8:40 p.m. Aug. 16.
Colorado Boulevard, 2800 block--A thief with a knife demanded a woman’s purse containing $540, and after a struggle, stole it at 11:50 a.m. Aug. 17.
North Avenue 51, 1800 block--Thieves kicked a rear swing door open, then ransacked the residence, stealing cash and jewelry, valued together at $1,510, between 6:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. Aug. 18.
Wawona Street, 3800 block--After removing the screen to a kitchen window, thieves entered a residence, ransacked it and stole guns and video equipment, valued together at $1,200, between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 18.
College View Avenue, 5200 block--Thieves pried the bars on the window of a residence and stole cash and guns, valued together at $12,270, between 8 and 9:10 a.m. Aug. 19.
Linda Rosa Avenue, 1300 block--After prying open the door of a residence, thieves stole camera equipment and jewelry, valued together at $5,655, between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Aug. 20.
York Boulevard, 4600 block--A thief entered a liquor store, acted as though he had a gun, and stole $700 at 11 p.m. Aug. 20.
El Roble Drive, 2800 block--Thieves stole a radio and a TV, valued together at $1,200, from a residence between 1 and 6 p.m. Aug. 21.
Echo Park
Sargent Place and Scott Avenue--Thieves with a shotgun stole $123 and a man’s car as he sat in it at 12:30 a.m. Aug. 16.
Lemoyne Street, 2000 block--Entering through an unlocked rear window, thieves stole video and camera equipment, valued together at $3,320, between 8 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Aug. 16.
Coronado Street, 1100 block--Thieves forced open the front door of a residence and stole cash and video equipment, valued together at $2,825, between 8:30 and 11 a.m. Aug. 19.
Glassell Park
Blake Avenue, 1900 block--After driving a red pickup into a roll-down door, thieves stole industrial equipment, valued at $10,000, on Aug. 18 or 19.
Verdugo Road, 3900 block--Thieves lifted a rear sliding glass door off its track to enter a residence and steal a radio and video equipment, valued together at $1,135, between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 20.
San Fernando Road, 2500 block--Thieves smashed the door window to a business and stole a radio and business machines, valued together at $1,250, at 11:02 p.m. Aug. 20.
West Avenue 32, 3000 block--Two thieves pulled a gun on a man when he surprised them as they stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $4,450, from his residence on Aug. 21.
Loosmore Street, 2600 block--After verbally threatening a man, thieves stole cash and a radio, valued together at $759, at 10 p.m. Aug. 21.
Moss Avenue, 2700 block--Thieves stole cash and jewelry, valued at $1,135, from a man at 1:30 a.m. Aug. 22.
Griffith Park
Crystal Springs Drive, 4700 block--Thieves with a sawed-off gun ordered a man out of his car, then stole cash and another gun, valued together at $1,635, then pushed the man into his trunk at 9:15 p.m. Aug. 22.
Highland Park
Monte Vista Street, 5200 block--Thieves collected $4,000 in rent and fees from tenants on behalf of a landlord, then kept the money in a theft discovered Aug. 17.
North Avenue 52, 200 block--After cutting open a rear-door screen, thieves stole cash and a TV, valued together at $1,700, from a residence between 6 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Aug. 18.
Avenue 51 and Buchanan Street--Thieves stopped a man’s car at gunpoint to steal cash and jewelry, valued together at $1,520, at 10 p.m. Aug. 18.
Aldama Street, 5300 block--Thieves stole a wallet containing $325 from a man at 10:35 p.m. Aug. 18.
North Figueroa Street, 5500 block--Thieves entered a clothing store and grabbed clothing, valued at $1,500, then ran out the door at 6:45 p.m. Aug. 19.
North Figueroa Street, 5400 block--As a man got into his car in a parking lot, a thief with a gun stole $250 from him at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 20.
York Boulevard and Figueroa Street--Thieves with a gun stole cash and jewelry, valued at $300, from a man at 9:40 p.m. Aug. 20.
North Figueroa Street, 6400 block--Someone forcibly entered a junior high school and vandalized it, taking an unknown amount of property between 7:15 and 7:25 p.m. Aug. 21.
Avenue 63 and Figueroa Street--Thieves with a switchblade stabbed a man as they stole $180 from him at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 21.
Los Feliz
Los Feliz Boulevard and Lowry Road--Thieves with a knife stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $1,150, from a man at 7 a.m. Aug. 16.
Dundee Drive, 4200 block--After forcing open a front window, thieves stole cash and a TV, valued together at $6,350, from a residence between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Aug. 17.
Fountain and Myra avenues--A thief with a gun approached a man from the rear and stole cash and clothing, valued together at $580, at 2:45 a.m. Aug. 21.
Mt. Washington
Glenalbyn Drive, 4000 block--Entering through an open window, thieves stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $1,750, from a residence between 4 and 10:30 p.m. Aug. 17.
Crane Boulevard, 500 block--Thieves approached a man in his carport, forcing him into his residence at gunpoint. They stole a TV and music equipment, valued together at $6,885, at 11:40 p.m. Aug. 18.
Marmion Way, 4600 block--Side window security bars were pried away so thieves could enter a residence and steal a radio and jewelry, valued together at $1,200, between 11:30 a.m. and 11 p.m. Aug. 20.
West Avenue 38, 300 block--Thieves pried open the side window of a residence and stole a TV and video equipment, valued together at $1,485, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Aug. 22.
