Ex-Gospel Singer Who Stole Barry’s Car Gets Jail Term

WASHINGTON —
A former gospel singer convicted of stealing former Washington Mayor Marion Barry’s car was sentenced Thursday to at least 18 months in prison. A District of Columbia Superior Court judge sentenced Tyrone D. Ford, 19, to 18 to 45 months in prison for unlawful use of the vehicle, theft of Barry’s camcorder and failure to appear in court for a scheduled hearing.
