China to Buy Boeing Planes: State-owned China Southern Airlines plans to buy 21 Boeing passenger planes in the next two years, the official Xinhua news agency reported Sunday. Airliners to be bought in 1993 include two Boeing 767-300s, four 757s and five 737s. Ten aircraft will be bought in 1994. China Southern has also announced intentions to buy six Boeing 777s when the new model is ready in 1995, Xinhua said. The airline, based in Guangzhou, has spun off from the monopoly Civilian Aviation Administration of China.
