A chemical plant explosion two weeks ago dented a line on a tank full of methyl isocynate, the gas that leaked in Bhopal, India, in 1984 and killed 3,000 people, the company said Tuesday. But the fiery blast that erupted here Aug. 18 did not damage the tank itself and there was no danger of the gas escaping, said Bonnie McCarthy, a spokeswoman for Rhone Poulenc Ag Co.
