Stapleton to Star in ‘Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle’

Jean Stapleton, known to most TV viewers as Edith Bunker on “All in the Family,” will star in the title role of a series for Showtime, “Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle.”
The family-oriented series, based on the books by Betty MacDonald and produced by Shelley Duvall, deals with an eccentric woman who comes up with unusual cures for such childhood “ailments” as being scared, being a tattletale and being unwilling to go to bed.
