Triconex Stock Purchase: A Florida investor has increased his stake in Triconex Corp. with a $1.4-million stock purchase, the maker of computerized safety and control systems for chemical and refining industries reported Friday.
The purchase gives James Dahl of Jacksonville, Fla., 8.42% ownership of the Irvine-based company, up from 6.74%. He bought 97,000 shares between Aug. 23 and Aug. 30 at $14.50 to $15 a share, according documents on file with the Securities and Exchange Commission. He now holds 436,454 shares, the company reported.
Triconex shares rose 12.5 cents on Friday to close at $14.125 a share on the NASDAQ market.
