Although the Rams increased ticket prices 5.3% this season, fans are still paying near the NFL average to attend a game in Anaheim Stadium, according to Team Marketing Report, a Chicago sports business publication.

The league generally held the line on ticket prices, increasing the cost only 3.5% to $28.68, but the Rams and Raiders were among seven teams that fueled the increase.

The Raiders increased ticket prices 20.7% while the Rams’ increased 5.3%. Despite the Rams’ ticket-price increase, total costs to attend a game rose only 1.1% from last season. The average total increase among league teams is 4.8%.

“Sometimes, the numbers seem to lie,” said Noah Liberman, associate editor of the report. “The Rams increased ticket prices, but they stay near the league average because they lowered their prices, and portions, of some of their concessions.

“Last year, the smallest soda you could buy was a $1.50. Now, there’s one for 75 cents.”

The study is based on prices for tickets, parking, programs, caps, hot dogs, beer and soda.

The average Ram ticket price is $29.13, while beer is $3.25, soda 75 cents, hot dog $2.25, parking $6, program $3.50 and a cap $13.
