* Tom Adams has joined Advanstar Communications in Santa Ana as managing director of Advanstar Associates, a new business unit. He will develop newsletters, seminars and other products for video, multimedia and interactive communications businesses. Adams was previously a senior analyst with Paul Kagan Associates and produced such newsletters as Video Investor, Interactive Multimedia Investor and Consumer Media Tech.
