* Music: The Atlantic Group is expected to disclose this week that it has reached a U.S. licensing and distribution deal with the alternative British record label Beggars Banquet. Under the deal hammered out principally by Atlantic Group Co-Chairman Doug Morris, the Time Warner unit will market Beggars Banquet artists, such as the critically acclaimed Buffalo Tom trio, through either EastWest Records America or Atlantic Records, with other Beggars Banquet artists distributed through Alternative Distribution Alliance. Beggars Banquet music previously was distributed through RCA. The first album released under the deal, Buffalo Tom’s “Big Red Letter Day,” is scheduled to go on sale this month.--JAMES BATES
