Viacom Gets New Executive: Former NBC Entertainment executive Perry Simon is joining Viacom Entertainment Group to oversee its West Coast production office. Simon will succeed Gus Lucas, who has headed the unit since 1987. Simon was executive vice president of prime-time programming at NBC from 1990 until July--in effect, No. 2 in the department--when he stepped aside to become an independent producer associated with the network.
