A 112-mile motorcycle run for charity will start and end near Mission San Juan on Sunday.

Organizers of the run, sponsored by Community Christian Church in San Juan Capistrano, hope to raise money to benefit Children’s Hospital at Mission Viejo and local religious ministries.

The ride starts at noon at the church, 31612 El Camino Real, and makes three stops: Look Outs, a cliff top near Ortega Highway and the El Cariso Village community; a Corona city park; and Cook’s Corner, a popular Trabuco Canyon bar.

Riders will return to the church about 5 p.m., where they will enjoy a live band and be served barbecued chicken prepared by the Walnut Grove Restaurant.

“This will be a benefit and an outreach,” said event organizer Greg Hulse, “although I don’t want people to think this is strictly a religious thing, because we’re also going to have a great time.”

Registration is $5, which is also the price of dinner. T-shirts will be on sale for $10. For more information, call (714) 496-2838.
