Popular romance fiction and bestsellers are among the miniseries weaving their way into the fall season. There’ll be no shortage of biographies on the Kennedy brothers coming to the small screen this season as well, including the controversial tome on Ted Kennedy by Joe McGinniss.

“J.F.K.: Reckless Youth”: Based on Nigel Hamilton’s bestseller, the miniseries will chronicle John F. Kennedy’s early years and his family relationships. TBA. ABC.

“The Last Brother: The Rise and Fall of Ted Kennedy”: The drama spans the 1960s, attempting to reveal how public and private events shaped the life of the surviving Kennedy brother. Based on the controversial Joe McGinniss book. TBA. NBC.

“Barbara Taylor Bradford’s Remember”: Donna Mills stars as an award-winning journalist who never recovers from her fiance’s mysterious disappearance--and apparent suicide--on their wedding day. Oct. 24 and 25. NBC.

“Jackie Collins’ Hollywood Husbands”: Based on the 1986 bestseller focusing on three best friends who make it big in Hollywood. Collins adapted the teleplay from her novel. TBA. NBC.

“A Matter of Justice”: Patty Duke, Martin Sheen and Alexandra Powers in a fact-based story about a mother’s determination to bring her son’s murderer to justice. November. NBC.

WESTERN

“Return to Lonesome Dove”: Jon Voight, Barbara Hershey, Rick Schroder, Louis Gossett Jr., Chris Cooper, William Petersen and Tim Scott star in the sequel. TBA. CBS.
