Waterford, Ireland —
Waterford Crystal wants to cut 525 jobs and slice pay by up to 25% in a bid to return the famous glassmaking company to profit.
Chief Executive Paddy Galvin told the unions of the company’s plans. They promptly called for a meeting with Labor Minister Brian Cowen and urged the government to nationalize Waterford.
