OC HIGH: Student News & Views : Mansion Mystery

Interactive theater awaits students at a special 1 p.m. matinee of “Witness for the Prosecution” on Sept. 26 at Village Crean, an estate overlooking Newport Back Bay. Participants will travel from room to room through the mansion, following a favorite character, as the mystery unfolds. It’s put on by Santa Margarita High School’s Talon Theatre. Tickets are $10 and include refreshments. Call 661-5356 for tickets.

Testing, Testing

Don’t panic if you missed the SAT sign-up. You have until Friday to get your registration postmarked and in the mail. The test is Oct. 9. Other sign-up deadlines to keep in mind: Sept. 24 for the Oct. 23 ACT test; Oct. 11 for the Nov. 6 ACH test. Stop by your school’s Career Center for booklets on all three tests.

History came alive for Sunny Hills High Republican Club members, who met privately recently with former President Reagan to celebrate inauguration of the club’s first full year. There was talk of Reagan’s days as an actor, lifeguard, governor, and, of course, President. Reagan met with the students in his Century City office and accepted honorary member- ship in the club, which boasts about 30 members, and a large jar of gourmet jelly beans.

“Leaders of Tomorrow” from throughout the county are saluted in a travel- ing photo exhibit, put together by Reinbold Gallery and Anaheim Kiwanis Club.
