Someone Needs to Pinch Lasorda--Hard

Pinch-hitting is supposed to be the test of a batter’s ability to come through “in the pinch.” Tommy Lasorda’s embarrassing attempt to manufacture a record for Dave Hansen by having him “pinch-hit” for “starting third baseman” Orel Hershiser is an insult to every Dodger who ever held the record. If Hansen breaks the record under such bogus circumstances, I hope he has the guts to throw it back.
