From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Columbia, HBO Renew Pay TV Agreement: The studio will deliver up to 15 movies a year to Home Box Office over five years in a deal that continues to give HBO exclusive pay television rights to Columbia’s feature films. The deal is similar to an agreement Columbia’s sister studio, Tristar Pictures, announced in July with the Showtime pay TV channel. Columbia’s previous agreement with HBO expires at the end of this year.
