Conference to Link California Home Builders, Asian Lenders

State Controller Gray Davis, author and journalist Joel Kotkin, top executives from Asian banks and investment firms and Southland home builders will be among those attending the Pacific Resources ’93 conference Sept. 30 and Oct 1 at the Ojai Valley Inn and Country Club.
The two-day conference, which is sponsored by the Building Industry Assn. of Southern California and The Times, is designed to link home builders with Asian lenders, according to conference chairman Michael C. Ning.
Among the banks that will be represented are United World Chinese Commercial, East-West Federal, Far East National, United Savings, First Continental, Eastern International and Golden Security Thrift and Loan Assn., Ning said.
Conference panelists will include Nelson Rising, senior partner, Maguire Thomas Partners; attorney Philip R. Nicholson, Cox, Castle & Nicholson; Jack Rodman, managing partner, Kenneth Leventhal & Co.; Leon Swails, Bramalea; Randall Lewis, executive vice president, Lewis Homes, and Richard Werner, president, Hearthstone Advisors.
