Dart Group Shareholder Files Suit Against Hafts: The lawsuit, filed in Delaware Chancery Court, charges company Chairman Herbert H. Haft and his son Ronald with looting the company. The suit alleges that the Hafts have locked Crown Books Corp., Trak Auto Corp. and other Dart Group companies into unfavorable real estate contracts that benefit the family’s closely held Combined Properties partnership. Dart makes more than $200 million in annual lease payments to Haft-controlled firms at above-market prices, the suit charges. The suit was filed by Alan R. Kahn and The Tudor Trust, which between them own 50,000 shares of Dart common stock, as a derivative action, meaning it was filed on behalf of the corporation.
