Money Supply Rises: The Federal Reserve Board reported that the measure of the nation’s money supply known as M2 rose in the week ended Sept. 20 to a seasonally adjusted $3,543.1 billion, up $1.1 billion from a revised $3,542.0 billion the week before. An even broader measure, M3, rose $4.8 billion to $4,194.8 billion from $4,190.0 billion.
