BUENOS AIRES —
The 18-month-old daughter of an Argentine ambulance driver who had won a $2.3-million lotto has been kidnaped and killed, a judge said Saturday.
Four people were arrested in the central Argentine town of Victoria after the girl’s body was found Friday, Judge Jorge Alberto Brasesco said. Police sources quoted by local media said the child’s kidnapers had apparently smothered her under a mattress out of fear that her crying would make neighbors suspicious.
