HAPPIEST ANGEL: The California Angels wound up the season 71-91, even more dismal than last year. Their biggest headache: They lost 55 games on the road, the worst in the major leagues. But at least someone in Anaheim is happy about the season. . . . Mayor Tom Daly recently presented future Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan the keys to the city. Says Daly: “It was the highlight of my life. It’s been downhill ever since. How can you beat that?”
