The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between Sept. 27 and Oct. 3:
Glendale
East Chevy Chase Drive, 1900 block--Thieves used a hammer or similar tool to break open the door of a residential garage and steal tools valued at $1,294 in a theft discovered Sept. 28.
Hollister Terrace, 2400 block--After entering through an open bedroom window, thieves stole computer equipment, valued at $2,000, between noon and 5 p.m. Sept. 28.
North Verdugo Road, 1500 block--An electric cart valued at $8,000 was stolen from Glendale Community College between 3:25 and 3:30 p.m. Sept. 28.
Glendale Galleria, 3200 block--A shoplifter took a fur coat, valued at $5,000, off a mannequin between 6 and 9 p.m. Sept. 29.
South Verdugo Road, 200 block--Thieves smashed the window of a dentist’s office to steal computer equipment, valued at $14,600, Sept. 28 or 29.
Chevy Chase Drive, 1700 block--After entering through the side door of a residence, thieves stole stereo equipment, valued at $2,000, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sept. 30.
Cleveland Road, 1300 block--Thieves broke a window to enter a residence and steal a gun, jewelry and household goods, valued together at $5,550, between 7:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 30.
Glendale Galleria, parking area--Thieves drove up to a woman and stole her purse at 10:45 a.m. Sept. 30.
North Brand Boulevard, 300 block--Thieves removed equipment valued at $2,800 from a construction site Sept. 30 or Oct. 1.
Chester Street, 400 block--Thieves stole camping equipment valued at $1,960 from a residential storage locker Oct. 1 or 2.
North Kenwood Street, 100 block--After entering an unsecured church classroom, thieves stole a TV and VCR, valued together at $500, Oct. 2 or 3.
La Crescenta
Montrose Avenue, 2400 block--Thieves entered a church basement and stole a portable stereo, valued at $150, between Sept. 30 and Oct. 3.
Atwater Village
Fletcher Drive and Estara Avenue--Thieves with a gun approached a man in his car, took his keys and $32, then forced him into the back seat and drove to an automated teller machine, where the thieves fled at 12:30 a.m. Sept. 27.
San Fernando Road and Fletcher Drive--Four thieves punched and kicked a man, then stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $325, at 9 p.m. Oct. 1.
Eagle Rock
Ellenwood Drive, 5200 block--After entering an unlocked garage, thieves stole tools, valued at $2,290, in a theft discovered Sept. 27.
Nolden Street, 1900 block--Thieves forced open the window of a residence and stole a radio, tapes and records, valued together at $1,300, between 2 and 11 a.m. Oct. 1.
Colorado Boulevard, 1900 block--A gunman stole $400 from a liquor store at 10 p.m. Oct. 1.
Echo Park
Echo Park Avenue, 1300 block--Using a duplicate passkey, thieves entered a liquor store and stole $2,000 from a locked cabinet in a theft discovered Sept. 27.
Ashmore Place, 1800 block--Thieves pried security bars off an unlocked window to steal a TV and video equipment, valued together at $2,200, from a residence between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sept. 30.
Beaudry Avenue, 900 block--Jewelry and video equipment, valued together at $2,480, were stolen from a residence between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Oct. 1.
Benton Way, 1100 block--Thieves stole cash and guns, valued together at $7,549, from a residence between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Oct. 2.
Glassell Park
Kemper Street, 1500 block--Using a chair to stand on, thieves climbed through an open window at a residence and stole video and telephone equipment, valued together at $1,375, in a theft discovered Sept. 27.
West Avenue 33, 2300 block--Thieves with a gun stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $4,265, from a woman and her companion at 10:30 p.m. Sept. 30.
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4300 block--After holding a knife to a man’s neck, a thief stole a car at 1:10 a.m. Oct. 1.
Division Street, 2900 block--After entering through a rear door, thieves with guns stole $1,000 from a fast-food restaurant at 9:50 p.m. Oct. 1.
Highland Park
Terrace Drive, 5900 block--A thief reached through an open window to steal a radio, valued at $1,200, from a residence in a theft discovered Sept. 27.
York Boulevard and Aldama Street--A man driving home was robbed of his car at gunpoint. The car was recovered at 3 a.m. Sept. 27 but the stereo, valued at $550, was missing.
Avenue 60 and Piedmont Avenue--A thief robbed a woman of her handbag, containing $310 and credit cards, at 2:10 p.m. Sept. 27.
Avenue 51 and Baltimore Street--As a man walked to work, a thief with a gun came up behind him and stole $85 at 5:30 a.m. Sept. 28.
York Boulevard, 6400 block--After ordering at a fast-food restaurant, a thief with a gun stole cash and other property, valued together at $499, at 10:05 p.m. Sept. 28.
Marmion Way and Avenue 58--A thief simulated having a handgun and stole a man’s car at 4 a.m. Sept. 29.
Monte Vista Street, 5200 block--Thieves with a gun and a screwdriver stole a man’s car and wallet at 4:05 a.m. Oct. 1.
Los Feliz
Clayton Avenue, 4100 block--After cutting a window screen and opening an unlocked window, thieves entered a residence and stole appliances and household goods, valued together at $1,200, Sept. 27 or 28.
Boulevard and Normandie Avenue--As one thief pointed a gun at a woman and her companion, a second grabbed the woman’s jewelry, valued at $1,055, at 5 p.m. Sept. 28.
North Kenmore Avenue, 1500 block--After using a key to enter a residence, thieves stole jewelry, valued at $58,780, between 8:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Sept. 30.
North Vermont Avenue, 1700 block--After cutting a hole in a store’s security gate, thieves stole industrial equipment and tools, valued together at $3,550, Sept. 30 or Oct. 1.
West Sunset Boulevard, 5000 block--A thief with a gun demanded a man’s keys, then stole his car at 10:10 p.m. Oct. 1.
Mount Washington
Mount Washington Drive, 500 block--A man taking pictures was robbed of his camera, valued at $280, at gunpoint at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 2.
Silver Lake
Rowena Avenue, 2900 block--A thief took a man he met at a nightclub for a ride, then brandished a gun and stole $25 at 1 a.m. Sept. 27.
Boulevard, 3700 block--A thief with a gun stole $250 from a liquor store at 9:30 p.m. Sept. 27.
Locksley Place, 2700 block--Thieves forced open the rear door of a residence and stole telephone equipment and jewelry, valued together at $3,030, between 11:15 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sept. 28.
Hyperion Avenue, 2900 block--Posing as a customer, a thief entered an appliance store, then stole cash and a radio, valued together at $700, at 6 p.m. Sept. 29.
North Benton Way, 1500 block--Thieves entered a residence through a kitchen window and stole jewelry and sporting goods, valued together at $3,200, between noon and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 1.
