SHERMAN OAKS : Funds Allocated to Build Running Track
Los Angeles City Councilman Zev Yaroslavsky has appropriated funds for a new running track at Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks Recreation Center.
Alisa Katz, Yaroslavsky’s chief deputy, said construction of the new track is expected to be completed by late spring.
Money for the $270,000 track will come from fees levied against developers and set aside to pay for parks and other recreational facilities.
Katz said the track will be about 1 1/2 miles long.
