Contractors Board

* Re “A Watchdog That Seems Asleep,” Sept. 25:

Your editorial sure hit home! We had 18 contacts with the Contractors State License Board in regard to a fire-retardant roof that leaked 225 gallons of water into our home after the first big downpour last December.

We called and sent letters to the board and it has taken 10 months to come to a half-satisfactory result without any help from the board. The board has never acknowledged or answered our letters.

The Assembly’s Consumer Protection Committee better put some fire and reform in the board because it is definitely not on the side of the consumer!
