Turner Broadcasting, New Line Reach Definitive Agreement: The Atlanta-based entertainment giant will swap stock now worth about $587 million in acquiring New Line, an independent film distributor known for such films as “Nightmare on Elm Street,” “The Player” and the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movies. A tentative agreement had been announced in August. The deal still must be approved by New Line shareholders.
