Sudan Rebel Factions Agree to Peace Talks

ATLANTA —
Representatives of two rebel factions in southern Sudan have agreed to meet for peace talks later this month at the Carter Center.
The talks are scheduled to begin Oct. 25, former President Jimmy Carter said. If they make progress, the Sudanese government will be asked to join the representatives of the Sudan People’s Liberation Army and the SPLA-United.
