He Had to Go a Long Way to Set Record

The 95-yard touchdown pass play from UCLA’s Wayne Cook to J.J. Stokes on Saturday against Washington broke a 61-year-old school record.

In 1932, in a game against Oregon in Portland, Mike Frankovich teamed with Ransom Livesay for 93 yards on a touchdown on the last play of the game to provide UCLA with a 12-7 victory.

It was a dramatic comeback for the young Bruins, who had joined the Pacific Coast Conference in 1928.
