From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Euro Disney Layoffs Expected: The company, seeking to contain losses caused by disappointing attendance and hotel occupancy, will trim its work force by nearly 9%, or 950 of its 11,100 jobs. Euro Disney has previously indicated the cuts would come mostly in its administrative ranks rather than at the Paris area theme park and nearby hotels. Euro Disney, which is operated and partly owned by Walt Disney Co., just last week disclosed it is slashing some hotel and restaurant prices in an effort to boost business.
