Wynn’s Reports Earnings Up 25% but Sales Down 4%

Wynn’s International Inc., the Orange-based company, reported third-quarter profit of $2.5 million, or 45 cents a share, an increase of 25% from the 1992 third quarter when profit was $2 million, or 37 cents a share.

Quarterly sales declined 4%, to $73.2 million from $76.4 million, because of reduced sales of automotive air-conditioning systems. Wynn’s supplies air conditioners, O-rings, seals, molded rubber products, petrochemical specialties products and builders’ hardware supplies. Profit for the first nine months of 1993 increased 31%, to $6.8 million, or $1.22 a share, from $5.2 million, or 97 cents a share, a year ago. Sales dropped 4%, to $215 million from $224.5 million.
