Glendale : Open House at Red Cross

Share

With remodeling of its headquarters complete, the Glendale-Crescenta Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross will dedicate the new offices today with an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The chapter has occupied the building, which formerly housed the Tropico Library and Fire Station 22, for about five years. According to emergency services director Jack Pike, the Red Cross took over the library side initially, until the group was able to renovate the old fire station.

The free festivities, which start at 4 p.m., include guided tours of the new facility, at 1501 S. Brand Blvd., and live entertainment. The ribbon-cutting ceremony starts at 5:30 p.m.
