Man Found Shot to Death in Car in Santa Ana
Police are investigating the slaying of an unidentified man found shot to death Monday night in a car in the 4400 block of West 1st Street.
The man, who has not been identified, was shot four or five times in the upper body, according to Lt. Robert Helton.
Witnesses told officers who responded to a report of shots fired in the parking lot behind a bar that several suspects had fled in a vehicle. That car was found abandoned about half a mile away, at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Kent Avenue, Helton said. There were no arrests.
Police were still trying to identify the victim Tuesday.
