Volkswagen Orders Recall of Vans: The German car maker plans to recall about 2,400 1993 Eurovans sold in the United States to fix the emergency brake. Volkswagen United States Inc. will mail letters to owners next week telling them to bring their vehicles in to dealers to have a spring replaced. The spring could cause the emergency brake to release without warning, the company said. Volkswagen said there have been no reports of accidents or injuries related to the problem, which was discovered during testing in Germany. All repairs will be free.
