Drug Benefit Systems Manager Reports Third-Quarter Loss

SysteMed Inc., the Laguna Hills manager of prescription drug benefit systems, reported a loss of $240,000, or 1 cent a share, for the third quarter.

That contrasted with a profit of $274,000, or 1 cent a share, for the corresponding 1992 period. Revenue was up 17% to $33.1 million from $28.4 million. For the year to date, the company posted a loss of $666,000, or 4 cents a share, compared to a profit of $940,000, or 4 cents a share, for the same period last year. Nine-month revenue was $98.5 million, up from $86.8 million.
