New Local Section Debuts on Sunday
Editor’s Note: The Times’ Glendale Section will be discontinued after this edition and replaced on Sundays for most readers with a new local news section produced through the combined efforts of the Glendale News-Press and the Foothill Leader.
Called Glendale/Foothills, the new section will be distributed in the Sunday Times in the communities of Glendale, Los Feliz, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, Glassell Park, Montrose, La Crescenta, La Canada-Flintridge and Atwater Village. Some parts of Los Angeles, which received both the Glendale Section on Thursday and the City Times on Sunday, will continue to receive City Times.
The new section, which debuts Sunday, will be designed to review the best stories of the previous week in Glendale-area news, sports, entertainment, features and business.
The Glendale News-Press and the Foothill Leader are operated by California Community News Corp., a subsidiary of The Times Mirror Co., which also publishes The Times.
