The surf may be up at the Wedge, but are you lathered down? While the rest of the population seems to have gotten the message that too much sun is not a good thing, teen-agers (at least on the East Coast) are not quite convinced. In a survey of 220 teens conducted by Dr. Beverly Banks of Philadelphia, 81% said they spend most weekends in the sun, and only 9% said they regularly use sunscreen.
