Dennis Deslatte Is Named Controller, Associate Vice President of Holmes & Narver
Dennis A. Deslatte has been appointed controller and associate vice president of Holmes & Narver Inc., an Orange engineering, architectural and construction services firm. He joins the company from P&D; Technologies in Orange, where he had been chief financial officer since 1990. Before that, Deslatte was division controller at Hadson Corp. in Irvine, and manager of general accounting, budget and financial planning/analysis at Rockwell International in El Segundo. In addition, Nancy J. McCoy has been appointed manager of accounting. McCoy, who has been with the company for more than 14 years, was formerly manager of government and project accounting.
* John Barbadian has joined Plaza Home Mortgage Corp. in Santa Ana as vice president of human resources. He previously spent nearly 13 years as vice president of human resources and support services for Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. Barbadian’s experience includes two years as director of human resources for Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital in Los Angeles.
* Linda Martin has been promoted to vice president of Laer Pearce & Associates, an Irvine public relations and marketing firm. She was previously account supervisor. Before joining the company, Martin was media relations manager for PacTel Cellular.
* Larry DeShazer has been appointed director of engineering and product development for Laser Medical Technology Inc., a San Clemente manufacturer of laser dental product and specialized bio-materials. His previous experience includes director of industrial programs and electro-optics technology at McDonnell Douglas Corp.; head of the laser optical materials section for Hughes Research Laboratories; and director of the Center for Laser Studies at USC.
* Susy K. Schleuning has joined Irvine Medical Center as vice president of managed care services. Previously, she was vice president of business development for Western Medical Center-Anaheim. Before that, Schleuning was president of Integrated Health Care Management Inc., regional director of health services for PacifiCare of California and director of provider relations for the Health Plan of America.
* Catherine C. Clampitt has been promoted to senior vice president and SBA production manager for Liberty National Bank in Huntington Beach. Clampitt had been appointed SBA business development officer in 1988 and promoted to vice president in 1991.
* Kevin P. Brady has been appointed vice president for operations for Petrominerals Corp., a Tustin crude-oil and natural-gas company. He will have primary responsibility for the operation of Hydro-Test International Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Petrominerals. Brady had been appointed president of Hydro-Test International in September, after its acquisition by Petrominerals. Before that, he was with Weatherford International for more than 11 years, most recently as senior vice president of the Americas and Far East division.
* Dennis E. Huber has joined Orange National Bank as vice president and wholesale manager of its new mortgage banking division. His previous experience was as senior vice president and wholesale manager with the Lomas and Nettleton Co.; executive vice president and production manager with Century 21 Mortgage Corp.; and a regional manager for Countrywide Mortgage Corp.
* A.J. Moyer has been appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer of Coldwell Banker Corp. in Mission Viejo. He succeeds Tom Davis, who is retiring. Moyer has been a business consultant since 1990. Before that, he served as senior vice president, communications/imaging divisions, and chief financial officer of Western Digital Corp.
* G. Andrew Bailard has been elected president of the Santa Ana Kiwanis Club for 1993-94. He is senior vice president of marketing and sales for First American Trust Co. in Newport Beach.
* Jim Schraith has been promoted to senior vice president of sales and service for AST Research Inc., an Irvine-based computer company. He was previously vice president of sales and service. Before joining AST in 1987, Schraith spent nine years at Schlumberger Technologies, most recently as director of marketing.
* Candice Tuttle has joined the Santa Ana advertising and public relations firm of Roberts, Mealer & Co. as public relations account manager. She was formerly director of marketing for Lasergraphics Inc. Tuttle has also been marketing communications manager for General Power Systems and marketing communications manager for SyQuest Technology.
* Joanne Geiler has been elected president of the Self Storage Assn., an international organization of self-storage owners and operators. Geiler is president of Polo Properties, a Newport Beach self-storage management and development company.
* Joy M. Ebben has been appointed human factors and ergonomics specialist for IAC Industries, a Brea technical workstation manufacturer. Before joining the company, she was a human factors specialist with Hughes Electronics’ Command and Control Systems.
* Edward D. Jones III has been appointed vice president of Costa Mesa-based US Facilities Corp. His primary areas of responsibility include overseeing corporate strategic planning and government relations for the specialty insurer. Jones will operate out of US Facilities’ Atlanta office. Before joining the company, he was a co-founder and executive vice president of Medical Review Systems. Jones has served as consultant to the National Research Council of the National Academy of Sciences on the effects of economic regulatory reform, and as consulting economist to the U.S. Sentencing Commission.
