Camarillo-based Interlink Electronics Inc. said its net loss widened in the third quarter, despite a 180% gain in revenue, because of costs of marketing new computer-pointing devices.

In the three months ended Sept. 30, Interlink’s loss grew to $681,001 from $616,048 in the same quarter a year ago, when it was a private company. Revenue jumped in the latest quarter to $1.2 million from $430,490 in the year-earlier quarter.

For the nine months, Interlink’s loss widened to $2.6 million from $1.1 million in the same period of 1992.
