Shamrock Broadcasting Inc., a Burbank radio station operator, said it has tentatively agreed to sell its Cleveland radio stations, WHK-AM and WMMS-FM, to Hirsch Holdings of Cleveland Inc.

Terms of the proposed transaction were not disclosed.

Shamrock Broadcasting is owned by Shamrock Holdings Inc., a privately held company controlled by Roy E. Disney and his family, and Trefoil Capital Investors L.P. of Burbank. Roy E. Disney is the nephew of Walt Disney.

Hirsch Holdings is a wholly owned subsidiary of Los Angeles-based OmniAmerica Communications Inc.

The two Cleveland radio stations being sold were part of Shamrock’s acquisition of Malrite Communications in July. Shamrock Broadcasting Chairman and Chief Executive Bill Clark said the sale of the stations was part of a strategy of concentrating on major media markets. He said that proceeds of the sale would be used to “further Shamrock’s growth objectives.”

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
