Hotel Occupancy Rate to Rise: Los Angeles County hotels and motels are expected to see continued but modest improvements in occupancy and room rates next year. The county’s occupancy rate is expected to rise to 63.5% in 1994 from an estimated 62.1% this year, according to PKF Consulting, which released its forecast at UCLA Extension’s Visitor Industry Outlook Conference. The average daily room rate is expected to rise only 2.2% to $77.50.
