Adult School to Offer Citizenship Exam
The Capistrano Adult School will offer the state’s Basic Citizenship Skills Examination at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Those eligible to apply for citizenship may take this exam instead of being tested regarding United States government and history by an Immigration and Naturalization Services officer.
Upon passing the test, applicants for citizenship will still need to have an interview with an INS officer to prove their proficiency in English.
The test costs $16 for those who registered before Oct. 28 and $20 for those who signed up after that.
