PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE NFL : A Third Baltimore Bid Is Expected
A third ownership group is expected to formally apply to bring an NFL team to Baltimore by the time the city completes its expansion bid Monday.
“There is a strong possibility that there will be an application filed for a Baltimore franchise before Monday,” said Herb Belgrad, chairman of the Maryland Stadium Authority. He provided no further details, noting, “All I can say is we’re not collaborating with anyone on the application.”

Linebacker Lawrence Taylor and running back Rodney Hampton will return for the New York Giants’ game against Washington, Coach Dan Reeves said. Hampton has sat out the last four games because of knee and ankle injuries. Taylor has had a strained hamstring.
